Travelling by car: Callinstr. 38, D-30167 Hannover, Germany
  • Take the "Hannover-Herrenhausen" exit from the A2 autobahn; follow the sign saying "Zentrum" on the B6 (Westschnellweg); take the "Herrenhausen" exit and turn right into Herrenhäuser Straße; drive past the "Großer Garten" and veer right into Nienburgerstraße; the second street on the left is Callinstraße.
Travelling by train: Hannover Main Train Station
  • Taking a taxi from the main train station to Callinstraße 38 costs approximately 8 EUR.
  • To take a tram to Callinstraße, exit the main train station in the "City" direction, walk along Bahnhofstraße towards Kröpke and go to the "Kröpke" U-Bahn station; take either the U4 to "Garbsen" or the U5 to "Stöcken"; get out at the fifth stop "Parkhaus", you will then be on Nienburgerstraße. Heading back in the direction that the tram came, take the second street on the left into Callinstraße. The AEI is on the left-hand side just after the first side street.
Travelling by plane: Hannover Airport / Langenhagen (HAJ)
  • Taking a taxi from the airport to the institute costs approximately 30 EUR.
  • To take the train, take the No. 5 S-Bahn to Hauptbahnhof (main train station) and then follow the instructions given above to get from the main train station to the institute. Tickets for the S-Bahn cost 2.30 EUR and you can obtain them from either the ticket booth or from vending machines on the platform.
  • Alternatively one could exit the No. 5 S-Bahn at station "Hannover-Nordstadt" and walk about 1.5 kilometers to the Albert Einstein Institute: Take the "Elgelbosteler Damm" southwards, second right (Haltenhoffstraße), first left (Schneiderberg) and third right (Callinstraße).
