Professor position in experimental gravitational wave research at the Institute of Nuclear Studies in Krakow, Poland

Offer Description: Organizing a research group, developing a research program, and conducting research on gravitational waves with experiments aimed at measuring gravitational waves, primarily as part of the upcoming Einstein Telescope project. Application Deadline: April 15th, 2024.

Education Level: PhD or equivalent

Skills/Qualifications
A candidate should have:

-  habilitation degree or professor title in the discipline physical sciences, astronomy or related sciences

- experience and current activity in the field of gravitational wave observations, with particular emphasis on knowledge of LIGO or VIRGO experiments, both in terms of equipment/hardware and data analysis.

- ability to collaborate in large, international scientific infrastructure projects.

Additional advantage will be experience in leading research team, knowledge of gravitational wave physics in connection with elementary particle physics, astrophysics and astronomy.
